ABSTRACT
Internal disc disruption (IDD) is one perceived cause of discogenic low back pain, much controversy surrounds its diagnosis and management. Emerging techniques for management of IDD include conservative treatment, modern fusion interbody cage devices, intradiscal electrothermal therapy, and disc prostheses among others. Prosthetic disc nucleus (PDN) has been performed as an alternative to these therapies. We report the case of a female 38 years-old with Internal disc disruption (IDD) which was treated with Prosthetic disc nucleus for anterior approach, clinical results are also very encouraging, with marked decreases in Oswestry (from 64 to a score of 0) and visual analog scale pain levels (from 9 to 0), at 1-year follow-up.REFERENCES
