Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) affect men and women of all ages, usually resolve without any complications but in some cases persist, like recurrent UTI treated in the majority of cases with antimicrobial profilaxis, increasing the problem of antibiotic resistance. At this point it seems to be necessary to look for other treatment options like the Vaccinium macrocarpon of course in a selective group of patients.
