RESUMEN

Los pólipos de la vesícula biliar (PVB) son lesiones poco frecuentes y generalmente benignas, cuyo diagnóstico se realiza en su mayoría de forma incidental. Los PVB se originan de procesos de colesterolosis y adenomiomatosis. Debido a la dificultad para obtener una biopsia de la lesión, se han propuesto factores de riesgo, escalas, estudios de imágenes y criterios diagnósticos para predecir su potencial maligno y así establecer el tratamiento adecuado.
