ABSTRACT
The gunshot wounds are the most frequent injuries in the armed conflict in which not only conventional firearm injuries are present but non-conventional weapons (land mines, gas cylinders, etc.) and usually are the ones that generate more damage to the limb. Upper limb injuries account for 20% of all firearm-related injuries in the body where the humerus proximal segment which engages the shoulder joint is the most affected. Furthermore, the tissue infection and osteomyelitis are without doubt the most important risk to which we must face as the pollution generated are highly complex and may require treatment from multiple washes, broad spectrum antibiotics to bone resection.
