ABSTRACT
LAGID (Latin American Group for Primary Immunodeficiencies) is a group formed by 12 countries with the primary goal of study and diffusion of primary immunodeficiency disease. One of its objectives is the creation of the primary immunodeficiencies registry in Latin America. The National Institute of Pediatrics is the Mexican reference center of the diseases. The objective of this study is to actualize the registry in the National Institute of Pediatrics. Patients with the diagnosis of primary immunodeficiencies from January 1970 to January 2001 were identified. One hundred and seventy one cases were confirmed; 26 were severe combined immunodeficiencie, 43 antibody deficiency syndromes, 62 associated immunodeficiencies, 23 with primary phagocytic disorders and 2 with complement deficiencies.
