ABSTRACT
In recent years, work injuries knowledge has depeloped considerably. In the past they were regarded just as non safe work conditions. In order to get a general point of view of criteria and results of work injuries, a good number of reports were analyzed from the last 10 years. For the analysis of these reports, we considered the economic factor, age, sex and the type of damage and the gravity of the accident as well as hygiene and security strategies. Scope and depth are variable as shown for instance by the analysis as keypoint of age; in 26 cases it is not mentioned. However, the most important thing is the renewed interest on the problem. Todays’ challenge is to apply knowledge arising from research and enhance predictive actions, not mainly consider the cost in money but a preventive attitude to improve worker walfare.
