Predictores de riesgos psicosociales en estudiantes de Bachillerato y Licenciatura

RESUMEN
La literatura científica ha identificado una cantidad importante de predictores de riesgos psicosociales en estudiantes de licenciatura y bachillerato. A pesar de lo anterior, evaluar la importancia relativa de dichos factores es complicado, debido a que la mayor parte de los estudios solamente evalúa un predictor y un riesgo psicosocial a la vez. El objetivo de esta investigación fue el de evaluar la importancia relativa de once diferentes factores que han sido identificado por la literatura como predictores de riesgos psicosociales. Se evaluó su capacidad para predecir consumo de tabaco, alcohol, drogas y conducta sexual de riesgo. Para ello se tomó una muestra no probabilística de 321 estudiantes de bachillerato y licenciatura de una universidad particular de la Ciudad de México. Los estudiantes contestaron un cuestionario impreso. Los resultados del estudio sugieren que la importancia relativa de los diferentes predictores de riesgo difiere; también mostraron que diferentes comportamientos riesgosos son predichos por factores diferentes. Los resultados se discuten en términos de la importancia de planear estrategias de prevención primaria basadas en diagnósticos empíricos apropiados; se discuten también en términos de la relevancia de incorporar elementos políticos, familiares y psicopedagógicos al diseñar estrategias preventivas.
