ABSTRACT
Laparoscopic rectopexy has been possible with the better experience of the surgeons with the endoscopic operative techniques and with the development of better laparoscopic instruments for the colon mobilization. We present four female cases, with rectal prolapse, treated by laparoscopic mesh rectopexy at the Juarez Hospital of Mexico, one of the patient required posterior esfinteroplasty, to resolve the associated anal incontinence. Laparoscopic mesh rectopexy is a good alternative to treat rectal prolapse.
