Complicaciones a mediano y largo plazo de la banda gástrica. Cómo se previenen y tratan

RESUMEN

El empleo de la banda gástrica ajustable en el tratamiento de la obesidad mórbida es ya de uso generalizado en el mundo. Sin embargo, a mediano y largo plazo algunos pacientes presentan complicaciones como perforación de la banda, erosión, dilatación del reservorio gástrico, deslizamiento, dilatación esofágica y complicaciones en los puertos. Aquí se revisan las anteriores complicaciones así como sus respectivos tratamientos.
