ABSTRACT
The aim of the present study was to examine the psychometric properties of the Brief Functioning Test (FAST) in bipolar patients in Mexico. Participants were 44 patients and 43 healthy subjects who answered a sociodemographic data questionnaire, the FAST and the global activity assessment scale (GAF). The factorial structure, the internal consistency, the concurrent and discriminant validity were analyzed. The results indicate that the Mexican version of the FAST is an easy-to-apply instrument that requires little administration time and shows satisfactory psychometric properties to evaluate the functionality of euthymic bipolar patients.
