ABSTRACT
Dyslexia is a frequent learning disorder among children, Artigas
(2000) defines it as a difficulty in reading that affects fluency and
comprehension, its prevalence is 17%, and affects school
achievement and adult life . The study consisted of detecting the
cognitive abilities of 17 children with dyslexia and 18 without
dyslexia by means of the NEUROPSI (Attention and Memory) test,
frequency analysis was carried out, and then they were graphically
contrasted. The results showed differences in: temporal
orientation, working memory, memory in coding (associated pairs,
logical memory), evocation of verbal memory (spontaneous, by
keys and by recognition), associated pairs and logical memory;
and executive functions (category formation, semantic,
phonological and non-verbal fluency.) It is necessary to build a
formation device that takes into account the cognitive abilities of
the students and includes multisensory and stimulating strategies
that help to awaken their interest and development
