ABSTRACT
Introduction: With the emergence of X-rays musculoskeletal diagnosis made a totally unexpected turn. Despite the fact that radiological techniques have improved in recent years, plain films continue to be so important that they have not been replaced in the armamentarium of orthopedic diagnostics.
Objective: To show the different positions and views for patients with hip arthrosis to better identify this condition with X-rays.
Results: Six different useful views that refer to correct patient positioning are proposed for the diagnosis and treatment of coxarthrosis.
Discussion: It is very important to know the various views and, mainly, the proper patient positioning to get the film that allows us to make a correct radiological diagnosis.
