ABSTRACT
The study of the volcanic activity worldwide shows that ash exhalation to the atmosphere can disturb abiotic and biotic factors. Mount St. Helens and the Pinatubo volcano caused alterations in the respiratory airways of the neighboring populations. Additionally, the Pinatubo volcano, for the great quantity of ash exhaled to the atmosphere, caused a decrease temperature worldwide. The Popocatépetl volcano has not meant a risk until now, however its constant exhalation of gases and ashes could condition the initiation exacerbation of various allergic diseases in the population. The volcanic activity as a source of natural contamination may allow to consider at short term its implication as a risk factor for diverse populations diseases.
