ABSTRACT
There are 200 million of people in the world affected by the chronic hepatitis virus C. Most of the time this infection is asymptomatic and generally the transmission follows the parenteral via. The role of the diagnosis through imaging has obtained in importance from more than ten decades ago. Both the ultrasound as well as the Doppler ultrasound are the most frequent diagnosis methods through imaging that are used in the world as regards as applicability and acceptance in the wide variety of several abdominal diseases and among these disease, cirrhosis is one of the most frequent pathologies in several countries. Ultrasound was introduced in the medical practice during the last decade, the use of these two types of ultrasound has been enormous procedure in most of the countries for evaluating this kind of patients. Our goal is to describe the ultrasonography characteristics which are most used in patients suffering from the virus C of hepatitis, comparing with the world wide level literature.
