ABSTRACT
Introduction: Most germ cells tumors in the newborn are localized in the sacrococcygeal region. Its surgical treatment requires complete studies of laboratory and ultrasound with Doppler. Cardiac insufficiency must be treated or discard. We report a newborn with TSC.
Case: RM boy of 35 weeks of gestation in the third trimester a US revealed a teratoma on the sacrococcygeal region. After born the measure of the TSC was 17X16 cm and the patient was under surgical treatment.
Discusion: We analyzed the best way to treat a newborn with TSC in our Hospital. We also reviewed the bibliography in order to know the natural history of the disease and the criteria for prenatal surgery.
