ABSTRACT
Introduction: The objective of this work is to show the features of pancreatic cyst (SQP) in children, the evolution and treatment.
Material and method: In 8 year we analyse record of patient with pancreatitis y SQP, study comparative retrospective, descriptive.
Result: 48 patient, with mean age of 9 year old, 23(47.5%) with SQP, 14 required surgical treatment, main indication persistence of sintomatology, we use internal drainage.
Discussion and y conclusions: The SQP is uncommon in children, related with severity of presentation, and is associated to traumatic injuries. And more common than previously reported, not all the patients required surgical drainage. The open gastrocistoanastomosis is the most used procedure and is associated with less complications, the laparoscopic procedures can be used, we observe more complication with external drainage.
