ABSTRACT
Objetive: to know the results of cycles with transfers of devitrified embryos in one institution.
Material and Method: observational, descriptive trial performed in patients of the Assisted Reproduction department of the
Instituto Nacional de Perinatología Isidro Espinosa de los Reyes, between January 2010 and December 2015, who received cycles of frozen embryo transfers. The information was collected in a data base that was analyzed with the SPSS program, version 22, with expression of mean +standard deviation, calculation of χ
2 with degrees of freedom and a p value.
Results: 213 patients were studied; time of infertility: 6.2 ±3.8 years with 59.2% and 52.1% with secondary infertility. The additional dose of 17 β estradiol was 72 mg (4/6/8 mg) with 97.2%. The mean concentration of estradiol during the additional phase before the embryo transfer on day 12 was 507.23 ± 216.25 pg/dL. 59.6% received 2 embryos, 64.8% quality II, 86.4% on day 3 of embryo development. The β hCG fraction was positive in 16% of the cycles transferred. The implantation rate was 19.7% and the clinical pregnancy rate was 12.2%. Feasible pregnancy was obtained in 10.3% and the abortion rate was 3.4%.
Conclusions: as there is better synchrony between the endometrial development, the embryo quality and the embryo development day, the possibilities of transfer increase in the optimal moment of the implantation window, and with that, the rate of live births.
