The predisposition to positive affection and its relationship to well-being: A prospective ex post facto study in Spanish population

ABSTRACT
The actions that assist positive affection encompass all forms
of thinking, behaviors and activities that allow for the maintenance
of a high level of positive affection in daily life. This research
aims to provide data on the psychometric functioning
of the SANA scale. The sample consists of 383 Spanish people.
Psychometric properties of the questionnaire are analyzed.
Moreover, the relationship between scores on this scale with
well-being indicators and personality are studied. The results
show that: The scale has an internal consistency around
.86. The factorization of the questionnaire showed a unidimensional
structure (different from the structure of the
questionnaire in its original version) that explains 46% of total
variance allowing to remove an item due to its low factor
loading. There is a relationship between the scores of the
scale, life satisfaction, well-being, some personality traits, and
positive affection.
