ABSTRACT
Facial surgery popularity has grown in the last years. One of the most important aspects when treating these patients is the anesthesia selection. Most authors recommend the use of loco-regional anesthesia to reduce hospital stay, cost and complications to patients undergoing this type of surgery. The main important knowledge is anatomy; there are some specific landmarks that facilitate an adequate anesthesia. Few complications have been reported and are associated with poor caution while applying the anesthetic.
