ABSTRACT
The objective of this work is to study the prognostic value of coronary calcium score in a group of 50 patients, among them symptomatic and asymptomatic cardiovascular risk factors and their relationship to other known variables with predictive value, through a prospective study , longitudinal, observational cohort, to describe the behavior of Calcium Score according to the presence or absence of cardiovascular symptoms and according to the occurrence or not of cardiac events during follow-up. For this spiral scan protocol using retrospective gating by electrocardiography and a rotation time of 0.33 seconds to coronary calcium quantification studies it was employed. The results of coronary calcium and behavior were observed according to Framingham, showing a statistically significant association between these two variables.
