ABSTRACT
The Herlyn-Werner-Wunderlich syndrome is a rare Müllerian malformation that describes didelphys uterus associated with blind hemivagina and ipsilateral renal agenesis. The characteristic clinical symptom is disabling dysmenorrhea which presents few months after menarche; other symptoms such as pelvic mass and pressure may also be associated. Treatment may be intended to relieve symptoms by vaginal or hysteroscopic septotomy or focused on fertility preservation by resection of the affected hemiuterus by laparoscopic surgery or abdominal approach. We describe the case of an 11-year-old patient with Herlyn-Werner-Wunderlich syndrome, and her surgical treatment by endoscopic surgery.
