ABSTRACT
Pulpal infection has effects upon periodontal tissues mainly trough root canals. The relationship between pulpal disease and periodontitis has been documented. The effect of these two conditions varies from localized self-resolving lesions after treatment up to tooth loss, if the problem would persists. Sometimes apical surgery solves the complications derived of root canal treatment. Grafts materials use to restore bone morphology of the alveolar process are well documented. Graft material alone or in combination are used in the treatment of this clinical situations. This is the clinical and radiographic report of an one year follow-up of a case of a rather extensive periapical complication whereby the periodontal support was severely affected, healed with a bone allograft mixed with a compound of calcium hydroxide suspended in oily solution.
