ABSTRACT
Introduction: as of the implementation of the university polyclinics model and Morphophysiology as integrating subject, there have been several difficulties in adapting and motivating medical students during the teaching-learning process.Objective: to explore motivation students for the medical career.
Methods: R. Weill's non-verbal intelligence test, the narrative projective technique and the semi-structured questionnaire were used.
Results: the current level of motivation for the medical career and the recognized benefits of morphophysiology for the future practice of profession were very poor since 52.38% of students were fully unmotivated.
Conclusions: motivating students by the medical career was negative in more than half of the sample.
