Urinary incontinence like health problem in the medium age women

ABSTRACT
It is considered woman in medium age to the group of people of the feminine sex understood in the ages between 40 and 60 years, suffering changes in 3 different and interrelated spheres: biological, psychological, social. One of the alterations frequent is the urinary incontinence whose incidence, prevalence, cost and deterioration of the quality of life of who carry it are not very well-known, since underdiagnosed of attention exists because the patient considers it part of the normal aging and she doesn't go to centers of attention in health. In Cuba they have been carried out punctual epidemic studies that corroborate the prevalence of the urinary incontinence, the subregister of specialized attention for this cause, as well as the deterioration of the quality of life, as the one carried out in secretaries that it demonstrated the existence of risks factors: Feminine sex, starting from 30 years, obstetric antecedents, being seated during many hours for their specific work, with 50 % with at least a positive answer to the incontinence questionnaire, as well as the one carried out in a clinic of the family doctor of the educational policlínico Mario Escalona Reguera that evidenced that 28,25 % of the interviewed women suffers urinary incontinence, corresponding to the population's 14,92 % in study.
