ABSTRACT
Arthroscopically-assisted medial placation is a surgical variety used in patients with
poor patellofemoral alignment. 44-year-old, white female patient, with previous
health history of concerns, refers pain at the anterior aspect of her left knee for about
a year. She has been treated with analgesics, NSAIDs multiple times and several
rehabilitation therapy sessions with very limited response to her symptoms. Release
of the lateral retinaculum accompanied by medial plication was performed on this
patiente. This technique is described by steps. Assisted arthroscopic medial plication
is a simple procedure which does not require long learning curve and it has a
minimum of complications.
