ABSTRACT
Sacrococcygeal pilonidal disease is characterized by one or more deep subcutaneous
sinus containing hair follicles,
located at the level of the gluteal line. Different treatment modalities for chronic pilonidal disease had been described;
the use of skin flaps to cover the defect after resection, have helped reduce healing time and recurrence rate.
