ABSTRACT
Aneurysms of the abdominal aorta (AAA) are defined as «the expansion of more than 50% of the normal diameter of the aorta»; they predominantly affects males into the seventh decade of life. The most common location is in the infrarrenal segment. We report the first case of AAA performed at our hospital, the case was a 71 years old male patient diagnosed with AAA infrarenal scheduled electively for aneurym’s resection in addition to embodiment of femoro-femoral bypass. Both procedures were successfully carried out, this article presents the anesthetic management of AAA taking into account the main hemodynamic changes during the intraoperatory phase, based on the pathophysiology of the disease.
