Manejo anestésico de la reparación quirúrgica de un aneurisma de la aorta abdominal.
Reporte de un caso

RESUMEN
Los aneurismas de la aorta abdominal (AAA) se definen como «la dilatación de más de 50% del diámetro normal de la aorta». Éstos afectan predominantemente a los varones a partir de la séptima década de la vida. La localización más común es en el segmento infrarrenal. Presentamos el primer caso de un AAA realizado en nuestro hospital. Se trata de un paciente masculino de 71 años de edad con diagnóstico de AAA infrarrenal programado en forma electiva para resección del aneurisma y colocación de prótesis de Dacrón bifurcada, llevada a cabo de forma exitosa. El presente caso pretende revisar el manejo anestésico de los AAA basado en la fisiopatología de la enfermedad, teniendo en cuenta los principales cambios hemodinámicos durante el intraoperatorio.
