ABSTRACT
After carpal tunnel syndrome, the ulnar nerve compression syndrome mainly in the ulnar canal is the second most common nerve syndrome in the extremities. The symptoms are varied, which can confuse the diagnosis, may have numbness of the ring and little finger, as well as a decrease in hand strength. Multiple repetition trauma or tumors can produce the symptoms. The diagnosis should be performed as early as possible, in chronic conditions may be irreversible with muscle atrophy and contracture of the joints metacarpo-phalanx. There are multiple treatments to release this symptoms non-surgical and surgical, transposition of the nerve subcutaneous, submuscular or intermuscular, epicondilectomy. Treatment should be directed depending on the case and the mechanism by which it is producing.
