ABSTRACT
Background: The pancreatic pseudocyst represents the 75% of pancreatic cysts. It has been proposed several techniques for the treatment with controversial results and still with experimental perspectives: both endoscopic and laparoscopic. When a pancreatic pseudocyst has no symptoms and it is not complicated spontaneous resolution is expected, however, when it is chronic is more difficult its resolution, in this case the internal drainage is the treatment of choice.
Methods: The presentation of case report of a 64 year old patient with pancreatic pseudocyst secondary to biliary pancreatitis with a successful laparoscopic cystojejunal anastomosis on a Roux-en-Y loop and cholecystectomy. It is obtained satisfactory result clinic and technical. Hospital stay of 7 days: having partial intravenous nutritional support and levofloxacine as prophylaxis. Discharge by improve. Follow up during 6 months with no symptoms and the control CT scan was normal.
Conclusion: The lack of prospective and comparative studies related to the treatment of PP has permitted different proposes, we reproduce the effectiveness of laparoscopic Y Roux cystojejunoanastomosis and cholecystectomy in the treatment of PP; nowadays a better experience and the technological support make possible to integrate the preop planning with more efficacy doing bigger the horizon of the laparoscopy.
