ABSTRACT
The prenatal diagnostic of diaphragmatic hernia it´s possible in approximately 50% percent of the cases, with a gestational age to the diagnostic of 24 weeks in average, through the ultrasonography we can detect direct or indirect signs of diaphragmatic hernia. One of the major ultrasonography parameters which allow us to estimate the pulmonary volume is the lung to head ratio and when we have an ‹ 1 it could be a marker of a bad prognostic. The treatment consists in a subsequent surgery to the hemodynamic stabilization of the neonate, until now the intrauterine surgery has not showed concluding results. The prognostic of the diaphragmatic hernia essentially depends on the degree of the pulmonary hypoplasia.
