ABSTRACT
The present article wile discusses the emergency treatment for the “Floating Elbow” associated whit open radio-ulna injury with soft tissue injury high degree contamination and injury to the radial nerve. Case report. Sixteen year old male, with two hours of evolution of a compression injury to the left upper limb with a corn mill and exposure of the muscletendinous and osseous tissue type III-A, the patient underwent surgical debridement and placement of a monopolar threaded external fixator, unplanned in the humerus and retrograde intramedullary Steinmann nails for the radio and ulna. Conclusion. According to the world bibliography described hybrid treatment for this delind of pathology of the elbow is adequate for achieving primary surgical stabilization and limb salvage. Also allowing for a definitive stabilization in a later surgical procedure according to complications that they may arise.
