Gliosarcoma de lóbulo parietal: reporte de un caso y revisión de la literatura

ABSTRACT
Among the tumors of the central nervous system, those that are composed of double tumoral component (glial component and
mesenchimal component) are called gliomesenchimal tumors, the most frequent of these tumors is the gliosarcoma, this tumor is
characterized for is double tumoral component that as the same malignant behavior, this leads to an elevated rate of mortality, with
a life expectation of 4 to 6 months. This tumor is more frequent in men than in women by 1.8-3:1 and age average of 40-60 years.
We report a case and revision of the literature with the objective of to differentiate de characteristics that separate the gliosarcoma
from the classic glioblastoma, with and incidence of 2% of all the glioblastomas.
