Gliosarcoma de lóbulo parietal: reporte de un caso y revisión de la literatura

RESUMEN
Dentro de los tumores del sistema nervioso central (SNC), aquéllos constituidos por un doble componente tumoral (neuroepitelial
[glial] y mesenquimal) denominados tumores gliomesenquimales, el más frecuente de ellos es el gliosarcoma, caracterizado por
presentar el doble componente del mismo un comportamiento maligno, lo que conlleva una elevada tasa de mortalidad, con
sobrevida de 4-6 meses. El predominio de sexo es de hombre:mujer 1.8-3:1, y edad promedio de presentación 40-60 años. Se
reporta un caso y se revisa la literatura actual con el objetivo de resaltar las diferentes características que lo diferencian del
glioblastoma clásico, así como su baja incidencia, que es de 2% de todos los casos de glioblastoma multiforme.
