ABSTRACT
We study the consolidation process of the theory of experimental analysis of behavior in Mexican psychology within the campus, in the decade of the sixties of the last century. This work focuses on the actions they undertook a group of young psychologists identified with behaviorism, which sought to give psychology a scientific discipline status. These efforts will be an important point of realization when they manage to create the first draft of the training of psychologists, with a predominantly experimentalist, at the University of Veracruz, Mexico. This study is the work of theoretical references Becher (2001) on the formation of academic disciplines and intellectual network theory of Hanners (1986). The first author's theoretical developments helped us to study the process of institutionalization of the discipline of psychology within the campus, from the three factors highlighted Becher to consolidate an academic discipline: the institutional, those of organizational type and type and cultural. The theory of intellectual networks allowed us to study the practices and collective efforts of the promoters of behaviorism in Mexico, which are known in the middle of the group psychology as Xalapa.REFERENCES
