ABSTRACT
On April 18, 1955 died the famous scientist Albert Einstein due to the rupture of an abdominal aorta aneurysm at the Princeton University Hospital, NJ. To avoid his tomb becoming a sort of tourist attraction, and contravening the principles of Judaism, which prohibits cremation, Einstein had requested that his body be cremated and his ashes be strewn into a nearby river. This was followed on the next day of his death; however, the pathologist who had performed the autopsy kept the brain to study it and fled. He kept hidden for 40 years until he was found and, after a long journey, he returned the remnant brain tissue to the Department of Pathology of the Princeton University Hospital.REFERENCES
