ABSTRACT
Polyps of the gallbladder (PVB) are uncommon and usually benign lesions, which diagnosis is mostly incidental. PVB originate from processes known as adenomyomatosis and cholesterolosis. Due to the difficulty to obtain a biopsy of the lesion, risk factors, scales, imaging studies and diagnostic criteria have been proposed for predicting malignant potential and establish appropriate treatment.
