ABSTRACT
Epidural blood patching (EBP) for treating Post-Dural Puncture Headache (PDPH) due to an Accidental Dural Puncture (ADP) performing an epidural anesthesia, or even though as an adverse effect post an apparently successfully aimed intrathecal or neuroaxial anesthesia, still remain the Gold-Standard procedure to resolve an untreatable management of a non-postural depending headache, when other non-invasive or conservative techniques failed within few days after the puncture and the symptoms are severe. When a post-lumbar puncture headache lasts more than one week and other diagnoses have been excluded, an epidural blood patch performed by an experimented physician usually provides prompt and complete relief of symptoms with minimal risk.
