ABSTRACT
The humeral head resurfacing is indicated when there is a little deformity of the head and especially when the pacient is not will under went to a glenoid replacement. A research in literature no found intraoperative humeral head fractures. We have a tree cases: 1) Female patient, 79 years old with congestive cardiac failure, pain and functional limitation left shoulder. The patient under went to minima invasive surgery (resurfacing). During the procedure there was fracture of humeral head, 2) Female patient, 50 years old with reumatoid arthritis and pain and functional limitation of right shoulder. The patient with the Copeland criterial and was found eligible for a shoulder resurfacing. During the surgery the humeral head was fracture when test device was pull out, and 3) Female patient 70 years old with a diabetes mellitus type 2 and arthrosis and rotator cuff tear; during the surgery, we detect a same sing like the other case; with the past experiences we decided to change the implant device. The first two cases we decided to change the surgical plan to conventional anatomic stem prosthesis and the last one, we decided to place a reverse shoulder arthorplasty due to the massive rotator cuff tear.REFERENCES
