ABSTRACT
Background: Telangiectaticum granuloma is a benign vascular lesion of rapid growth, that presents frequently in children and young adults.
Objective: Report the clinical-pathologic characteristics of pyogenic granulomas studied in the Dermatopathology Service of the Hospital General de Mexico, OD.
Material and methods: The clinical and histopathological characteristics of the cases with diagnosis of telangiectaticum granuloma in a 6 year period were reviewed.
Results: There was a higher frequency in females with a male to female ratio of 1:1.6, the age of highest incidence was the fifth decade of the life, most patients presented a unique lesion, the clinical diagnosis was of telangiectaticum granuloma, the histological study reported the endothelial proliferation with formation of capillars, the presence of infiltrated inflammatory and epidermal collar formation were not see in all cases, an appropriate clinical-pathological correlation to establish the diagnosis is important.
