Complicaciones transoperatorias asociadas al capnoperitoneo en cirugía laparoscópica

RESUMEN
En la cirugía laparoscópica, se requiere de la insuflación de un gas para una adecuada exposición, visualización y manipulación del contenido abdominal. El gas que más se utiliza con este fin es el bióxido de carbono (capnoperitoneo). La introducción de agujas y trócares para la formación del capnoperitoneo y el mantenimiento de una presión intraabdominal elevada son elementos primordiales en la presentación de complicaciones potenciales transoperatorias. Las complicaciones más frecuentes son principalmente cardiovasculares como las arritmias, hipertensión arterial, embolismo gaseoso, paro cardiaco, etcétera, y/o respiratorias como la hipercarbia, hipoxemia, capnotórax, acidosis, etcétera. Sin embargo, existen otras menos populares como el enfisema subcutáneo, neuropatías, dolor escapular, hipotermia, entre otras, que también es necesario conocer.
