ABSTRACT
Anovulation with inversion of FSH/LH is considered a sterility problem with a frequency of 20%. A prospective, transversal, and observational study was performed to demonstrate the effectiveness of a 75u single dose of recombinant follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and 50 mg of clomiphene citrate per day for five days beginning in the third day and ending on the seventh day of the menstrual cycle during the initial stage of clinical study on patients with sterility. A total of 86 partners were included. Pregnancy was achieved in 17(19.76%) patients. The use of a single dose of FSH on the first day of menstrual cycle associated to clomiphene citrate in patients with a sterility problem, enhanced the ovary incorporation allowing the action of endogenous FSH and presenting the referred percentage of pregnancy in the initial stage of study.
