Angiofibroma juvenil nasofaríngeo. Metaanálisis de su tratamiento

FRAGMENTO

El angiofibroma juvenil nasofaríngeo (AJNF) es una patología tumoral benigna que puede llegar a tener un comportamiento agresivo y pasar de la nasofaringe a otras estructuras vecinas, incluida la cavidad craneal, presentando una elevada morbilidad. Tiene tendencias de presentación marcada, en cuanto a edad, género y áreas geográficas de mayor incidencia. Se realiza un metaanálisis de las distintas formas de tratamiento utilizadas según la literatura en idioma inglés de los últimos 20 años. Se discuten los resultados y se presentan conclusiones.
