ABSTRACT
The Internet is one of the information and communication technologies (ICTs) that
does not place space-timely barriers, since it allows information exchange through
a system of documents that lead to other related and interlinked texts; this kind
of technology is having an impact upon every other daily-life activities of mankind,
particularly noticeable in the field of Biology. Biology is an area of scientific knowledge
subject to these new trends, and teaching and interactive materials found on
the Internet are powerful resources for the teaching and learning of this science.
However, the localization of these resources is difficult, especially because of lack of
knowledge of the proper web sites, plus the constant appearance of new sites. In this
order of ideas, the purpose of this paper is to offer a compilation of electronic web
sites whose didactic content supports the process of teaching and learning in biology.
