ABSTRACT
Obesity is a world public health problem. In Mexico it’s growing rapidly. As a consequence, its complications, like arterial hypertension and its secondary manifestations are present. In this paper we review the neurohormonal mechanisms of leptin, insulin, dopamine, norepinephrin, angiotensin and nitric oxide, and the cardiovascular and renal functions that promotes arterial hypertension in the obese patient.
