Mecanismos neurohormonales, cardiovasculares y renales en la hipertensión arterial del obeso

RESUMEN
La obesidad es un problema de salud pública mundial. En nuestro país está en franco aumento. Como consecuencia de esto, se hacen presentes sus complicaciones como la hipertensión arterial y sus secuelas. En este trabajo revisamos los mecanismos neurohormonales de la leptina, insulina, dopamina, norepinefrina, angiotensina y el óxido nítrico, así como las funciones cardiovasculares y renales que favorecen la hipertensión arterial en la obesidad.
