ABSTRACT
Introduction: The pulmonary edema is defined as the accumulation of water in the interstitial, alveolar space resulting in an inadequate dissemination of oxygen and carbon dioxide, by increase in pulmonary intracapilar pressure and/or the coloidosmotic pressure decrease, giving rise to capillary leakage level lung syndrome.
Objective: Present two cases of acute pulmonary edema non-cardiogenic in obstetric and Gynecologic patient, and his relationship with capillary leak syndrome. It is the first global report which presents the dynamic hoemif noninvasive this fisiopathology.
Material and patients: Two cases of Gynecology and obstetrics of the General Hospital of Mexico intensive care unit, are variables of laboratory, hemodinamic and images that documented the diagnosis.
Results: pregnancy of 23 weeks, pre-eclampsia, capillary leak, acute renal failure, pulmonary edema acute cardiogenic and death 220 g. Post-operative immediate of secondary abdominal total hysterectomy to sudden miomatosis, tachycardia, tachypnea, desaturation with rales on both hemithorax.
Discussion: Relate pressure coloidosmotic and index of Briones, with the development of pulmonary edema non cardiogenic.
Conclusions: Pulmonary edema cardiogenic is not a complication in obstetric and gynecological patients, with capillary leakage.
