ABSTRACT
This article discusses the importance that math skills play for Medical Professionals. On one hand, relevant information is provided about the necessity for physicians to use math skill to process, interpret, and communicate medical decisions based on statistical facts. On the other, different examples about wrong medical decisions due to the lack of relevant or statistical information is also provided. Finally, the article offers some suggestions about how mathematical skills in the medical field could be improved.
