Recurrent pneumomediastinum and pneumothorax

ABSTRACT
Nine years old girl with chest and neck pain with enlargement of neck and face; the doctor observe crepitation to touch. The X ray film show pneumomediastinum and subcutaneous emphysema located in face and neck; this changes fades spontaneously, the CAT scan didn´t show abnormalities and endoscopy study was normal too, because she was discharge without medical treatment. After eight months she come back again with the same clinical complaints and show in the X ray monitoring subcutaoeus emphisema, and pneumomediastinum with mild pneumothorax; she receive broncodilators and the RAST screen show only mild allergy to some allergens, but not received any other treatment. She recovered of this problem again and was discharged four days after. She never have any other respiratory complaint again after two years of surveillance.
