ABSTRACT
Abdominal flaps are an important recourse for reconstruction of toraco-abdominal defects, and particularly for breast reconstruction; unfortunatel most of the times producing deviation and/or distortion of umbilical scar and secondarily of aesthetics of abdominal region. In this paper, a new procedure for aesthetic repositioning of umbilical scar is presented. This method keeps the umbilicus stable and nonstenotic, and avoids possible hypertrophic scars. Results and complications are discussed.
